The return of the King: the drought is over for Rea
With a commanding title lead, Jonathan Rea was in a comfortable position in the Championship when the paddock touched down on the Riviera di Rimini. But the road had not been as smooth as it appeared and the Kawasaki rider was enduring the longest drought without a win since joining the team from rival manufacturer Honda. When the lights went out, Rea fought back against any questions the paddock may have had, with an incredible pair of wins that stamped some authority back on his 2016 title bid.
